Premier Bergen County Child and Family Photographer
Meet Eric & Nicole
Meet Nicole and Eric, a wonderful couple who I just adore! What a GREAT COUPLE to help support my #ISTILLDOLOVE campaign!
I have had the privilege of photographing their family for over the past 7 years now and have loved getting to know their fun and loving personality. Their family photos are some of my all time favorites!
Nicole is an ADORABLE mom of 2 cute kids and runs her own interior design business, NICOLE SMITH Interior Design. She does beautiful work! The pictures of her and her daughter are some of my very favorites... I mean... look at all that blonde curl!
Gorgeous right?? I can't say enough good things about her, she is just so, so lovely.
Her husband Eric, a Networking Sales Specialist in the NY/NJ area is a great husband and dad, at every photo session he has always been very gracious and kind to his sweet wife, adorable children... and bossy photographer. :-).
Every year I get to spend time with them, I learn more and more how much they adore each other. So I am thrilled they are my first couple to be featured on my blog!
I can't wait to share a little bit about their #istilldolove story as told by Nicole, she even sent in a wedding photo!
Eric & Nicole #ISTILLDOLOVE Story
1. HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED?
We’ve been married 11 years that have gone by in a flash!
2. HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR SPOUSE?
Eric and I met through his brother who was a good friend of mine and now my brother-in-law. We met at Boat Basin which we now have a view of from the top of our street.
3. WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE YOU WANTED TO MARRY HIM?
There were so things especially because everything always felt so easy and natural between us. There was one day in particular that comes to mind. He came with me to volunteer at the Humane Society and was so amazing with an unruly dog. He helped by being patient, calm and strong and it made me see how he would be a wonderful husband and father.
4. SHARE YOUR LOVE STORY
Eric and I had a long distance relationship between NYC and DC. After a couple of years he sold most of his belongings, quit his job and moved to NY to be with me. During that time we had a blast taking advantage of our everything NYC had to offer. He proposed in 2006 just after sunrise in Miami and were married the next year on the cliffs of Jamaica. We are blessed with 2 beautiful children that will always be our best accomplishment.
5. WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER MOST ABOUT YOUR SPOUSE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?
While everyone was celebrating, he took me aside so we could share a moment by ourselves. He wanted us to always remember this special day surrounded by our friends and family.
6. IN 3 WORDS DESCRIBE WHAT YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR SPOUSE TODAY
Caring, Strong, Genuine!
7. WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING MARRIED?
Partnership – Being lucky enough to share the ups and downs in life with your best friend by your side.
8.WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING MARRIED?
Partnership – remembering that everything you do is for the family “team”.
7. SHARE YOUR BEST TIPS TO A HAPPY MARRIAGE
Always have empathy, be willing to compromise and have unconditional love. (kisses, hugs and wine help, too).
So cute right?! I just love them! Thank you for sharing your story Nicole!
